Players who shot first and channeled their inner Han Solos during the beta for "Star Wars: Battlefront 2," will be rewarded handsomely, as prizes are being handed out to the top 1,000 beta players for the Xbox One version of the game.

Open beta testers who have made it to the top 1,000 in the leaderboards for "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" for the Xbox One will be receiving either a $60 gift card or a free Xbox Live membership for one or three months. That said, players who already have the said subscription may see the reward wanting.

For the players hoping to see their names in the top 1,000, the leaderboards can be viewed on the official Xbox Live website, where winning players can also redeem the rewards. The combined hours that the top 1,000 players in the leaderboard amounted to as much as 25,000 hours played over the beta weekend. As such, Eurogamer posited that one of the metrics for the ranking was the amount of time played.

A Reddit thread by user ZeWolfve has confirmed that the rewards indeed are real, as he alleged that he placed 66th on the leaderboard and even posted a photo of Microsoft sending him the $60 gift card. The said user has reportedly played the beta of "Battlefront 2" for about 75 hours, but he admitted that he did not do it alone as he had help from his brother during the process.

Another user on the thread, however, alleged that he has a friend who placed 82nd on the leaderboard despite spending 75 percent of his hours just idling. Meanwhile, a player with 32 hours of game time placed 960th in the leaderboard, while someone else with 36 hours did not make it into the top 1,000. These indicate that there might be more to the metric than play time.

Sadly for PlayStation 4 (PS4), and PC owners, the reward is for the Xbox One only.

"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" beta has ended, and the full game is set to be released on Nov. 17 for the Xbox One, PS4, and Microsoft Windows.

The carol assures us that “We three kings of Orient are…” and tells us they were “following yonder star”. Can we be sure there were three of them? Were they kings? Where in the Orient were they from?
