In the next episode of "Star Trek: Discovery," Saru (Doug Jones), Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Ash Tyler (Shazad Latif) explore a strange new planet.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum" was released just recently and showed Saru, Burnham, and Tyler exploring a mysterious planet. They walk along the tall cliff as a giant tower is shown in the distance. Saru tells Burnham prior to their planetary assignment, "We Kelpians are born afraid. It is how we survive. My whole life has never known a moment without fear, not one moment, until now." It appears that Saru may be asked to face a new challenge to save the crew and the spaceship. He is shown getting surrounded by the blue spores that enable objects to travel through time and space.

It seems like Saru may have to be the one to transport the crew and perhaps the spaceship Discovery to safety. The vessel apparently is being chased by Klingon cruisers and shot down at every turn. Captain Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs) is desperate to find a way to escape the Klingons' crosshairs. Their escape may come at a price for some of the members. "There will be time to grieve. This is not that time," Lorca says to his attentive crew.

In the last episode, the Discovery crew got trapped in a 30-minute time loop created by the cunning Harry Mudd (Rainn Wilson) who wanted to know how the spore teleporter functioned. Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp) was able to escape the loop and warn the others about Mudd. Lorca, Burnham, and Tyler caught the nefarious Mudd in the end and brought him to justice.

"Star Trek: Discovery" season 1 episode 8 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on CBS All Access.
