Selena Gomez was spotted talking to Brad Pitt at a Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, Jan. 10. In a photo the singer-actress uploaded on Instagram, Gomez is seen listening attentively while the 52-year-old talked to her at the party. She captioned the shot, "just discussing #TheBigShort- @agentoh."

Pitt and Gomez worked together on last year's "The Big Short," where the actor starred alongside Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell and Christian Bale. Gomez appeared in a cameo as herself in the film.

Hollywoodlife reports that the two talked about something during the party as Pitt has some ideas regarding Gomez's movie career and that he wants her to star in an all-female remake of "Ocean's Eleven."

"He thinks Selena would be a perfect fit for the 'Ocean's Eleven' female remake," said a source to Hollywoodlife. The insider said that while casting isn't up to the father of six, the star can assure that Gomez can be on the short list.

"He's not producing the film but has close ties with the film's director Gary Ross," said the source.

Last year, The Playlist reported that an all-female reboot of the famous heist movie franchise was in the works and that Sandra Bullock is going to lead the cast. According to the website, Bullock will take over the lead role which was played by George Clooney in the original films, and that Clooney will stay on as a producer.

The project was initiated in 2014 by late producer Jerry Weintraub, director Steven Soderbergh, and Clooney. Sources close to the project told The Playlist that Olivia Milch, who was tapped to be the film's screenwriter, has handed in a draft of the screenplay.

While it is unclear whether Pitt actually discussed a possible role in the film with Gomez, Hollywoodlife speculates that the 23-year old could play the female version of Pitt's character in the original "Ocean's" trilogy.
