After multiple Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners complained about the unusual red tint that appears on the new flagship smartphone's display screen, Samsung offers a new solution to the problem.
In a statement, the South Korean tech giant answers numerous complaints that it has received over the red screen display.
The complains began as soon after the new flagship product was released in South Korea this month.
"The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with Super AMOLED display to provide rich and vivid colors along with high sharpness and contrast. In the past, we have received feedback that consumers wanted the ability to customize the color setting of their Galaxy devices due to natural variations in displays, and we provided the option to do so in previous software updates," the company said in a statement. "Samsung has listened to feedback and has decided to release a software update starting from this week which will provide customers with a further enhanced ability to adjust the color setting to their preference."
However, reports mention that not everyone is satisfied with the solution. One of Samsung Galaxy S8 owners claims that the red screen problem should not be blamed on the software.
The user also mentions that she demanded to have her Galaxy S8 unit replaced, but the new one also suffers from the same fate. "The new one was even worse," the device owner states. She also mentions that the red tint on the display strains her eyes. "I adjusted the color balance on my phone, but I still can see the red color and it stands out too much."
But aside from the red tint problem, Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with high-end features including 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB internal memory that can be expanded with its built-in microSD slot.
The latest Samsung Galaxy S8 also comes with a 12-megapixel primary camera with 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.
