Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin on Kaya Jones: 'She was never a member of the group'

The allegation of an ex-member of sing-and-dance girl band Pussycat Dolls that the group was basically a "prostitution ring" was denounced by the band's founder and added that the girl was just looking for her "15 minutes of fame."

Robin Antin, who found the Pussycat Dolls in 1995, claimed that there was no truth to the startling statements of Kaya Jones, a member of the group from 2003 to 2005. The founder shut down Jones' claims and noted that the accuser was never part of the group. The choreographer, in an interview with The Blast, also expressed her disbelief over Jones' remarks considering she was just among the many who auditioned to be part of the Pussycat Dolls.

"I am shocked with the allegations Ms. Jones has stated and they are nothing more than disgusting, ridiculous lies," Antin said to Entertainment Tonight. She went on lambasting Jones for the latter's tweets about former GRL member Simone Battles' suicide in 2014. Antin added that Jones was "unfathomable and disrespectful" for bringing the suicide issue on social media.

Without naming Antin, Jones asked via Twitter a certain girl group's founder to own up to her role in the suicide case of another group's member, likely hinting at Battles' death. Jones went on to say, "Tell the public how you mentally broke us." GRL was also formed by Antin.

Jones revealed in a series of tweets on Oct. 13, Friday, that the situation got so bad that she had to steer away from her dreams. Aside from these, the 33-year-old also divulged how they were made to be addicted to drugs, which would then be used against them. Jones also claimed that the group was abused and that she was threatened to be killed or her career to be ended if she exposed the dirty secrets within the Pussycat Dolls.
