After the recent announcement on the release of a virtual reality (VR) support for "Payday 2" before the end of the year, Overkill Software also reveals that the first-person shooter game will soon have an Ultimate Edition.
The game developer announces on its website that it will integrate all the game's DLC into one bundle that will comprise the upcoming "Payday 2" Ultimate Edition.
But before the release of the upcoming Ultimate Edition, the prices of all the "Payday 2" DLCs are 85 percent off until Thursday, June 8. After that, the DLCs will no longer be sold separately.
According to reports, the Ultimate Edition will feature more than 55 heists and other contents that will include the recently released "Payday 2: Gage Russian Weapon Pack," the "Payday 2: John Wick Heists", the "Payday 2: Scarface Heist," the "Payday 2: Scarface Character Pack," the "Payday 2: Gage Spec Ops Pack," and the "Payday 2: John Wick Weapon Pack," among others.
However, the game developer also reveals that it will continue selling the Ethan and Hila Character pack. "The subsequent revenue from the Ethan and Hila Character Pack is going straight to Ethan and Hila. We are doing this because we appreciate them and wanted to find a way to help them out financially so they can continue to do what they do best," Overkill states.
The game developer also explains that the reason why it decided to come up with the "Payday 2: Ultimate Edition" is to treat loyal players who enjoyed the game since 2013 by releasing all future DLCs for free.
"To honor our community's support, all future content will be released for free for anyone who owns 'Payday 2,' they also stated. In order to consolidate all the content and ensure the best experience for our players - both new and old — 'Payday 2' is evolving into its final form — 'Payday 2: Ultimate Edition,' combining the base game with all of the 144 updates we've made."
The "Payday 2: Ultimate Edition" is expected to be available for $45 beginning June 8.
