Is Sarah about to distance herself from her sisters when "Orphan Black" returns? Back in the season 3 finale, Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) had a touching reunion with her daughter, Kira, and while it is unclear whether the two will be able to live together again, a press release from BBC America hints that Sarah will be going on a dangerous mission, and she will find herself "estranged" from her sisters.

According to the season 4 synopsis, Sarah will reluctantly return from her hideout in Iceland to search for an important ally connected to the clone that started it all—Beth Childs. Sarah will then take a leaf out of Beth's book and forge a dangerous relationship with a powerful new enemy, and while under constant pressure to protect her sisters, Sarah's old habits begin to resurface.

It looks like Sarah will be dealing with a lot of things when the show returns next year. Not only does she have to protect her sisters, she also has to ensure that Mrs. S. and Kira are safe. Will she cope with the pressure by stealing or orchestrating cons, just like she did in season 1 before she decided to impersonate Beth?

It also appears that she is going to be facing off against a new foe in season 4. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, co-creator Graeme Manson said Sarah will have "one main foe" in the new season—Neolution.

Given all of these things, Sarah will need her sisters more than ever, but based on the synopsis, she will be pushing them away in season 4. Sarah's reasons for doing so are unclear as of the moment, but it's possible that she will be distancing herself from her sisters to protect them from the enemy, who is the proponent of all the gruesome clone experiments as revealed in the finale.

Filming for season 4 of "Orphan Black" is underway, and the series is expected to return with 10 brand new episodes to BBC America in 2016.
