'Once Upon a Time' season 5 spoilers: Can Hook save Emma? Who will rescue Merlin in episode 2?

In the next episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 5, Arthur (Liam Garrigan) wants to know who will free Merlin (Elliot Knight) from being stuck in a tree to battle the Dark One. He asks Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Regina (Lana Parrilla), Robin (Sean Maguire), Emma (Jennifer Morrison), and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) who among them is Merlin's savior. Regina takes on the responsibility to protect Emma.

In the previous episodes of "Once Upon a time" season 5, the residents of Storybooke tried to save Emma from the Dark One imploring the help of Zelena (Rebecca Mader). Although the wicked witch had other plans, Regina was able to stop Zelena by using the witch's magic to work the Apprentice's wand to create a portal could send anyone to the Enchanted Forest.

While trying to find Merlin, they found a confused Emma who made friends with the brave warrior princes Merida (Amy Manson), while being guided by a vision of Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) wanting her to embrace her dark side. Af

ter meeting up with King Arthur in their quest for Camelot, the residents of Storybooke returned home six weeks later with no memories of what happened, wearing different clothes, and with Emma who is now the Dark One making a vow to take revenge for her loved ones.

According to the synopsis released by ABC for "Once Upon a Time" season 5 episode 2, entitled "The Price," Regina protects Emma testing her decision to be good. A royal ball is given by King Arthur and Queen Guinevere (Joana Metrass) to the heroes of Camelot, that heads on to a deadly turn, prompting David and Robin to act fast before they lose their chance to save Emma.

Back in Storybrooke, Hook tries to save Emma by using a proven technique to bring her back to the light. Meanwhile, the heroes also realize that something has followed them from Camelot.
