A new Windows 10 smartphone is rumored to be released in 2017 from HP, rumors claim.

Several speculations claim that Microsoft will be working with HP to come with another smartphone device after they unveiled the Elite X3 smartphone during the Mobile World Congress in February 2016.

According to reports, the new Windows 10 smartphone will be the next in line for the Elite X3 even if the device failed to have a big commercial success. Morning News USA also spotted a report from German website WindowsArea.de claiming that the device's unveiling will also happen in the next MWC that is scheduled for February next year.

Other speculations suggest that the rumored new Windows 10 smartphone from HP will come out with several features that are inspired by the Lumia smartphones. This could possibly include the Glance Screen feature that shows time, other notifications, and updates even if the screen is not turned on, as well as the double tap feature to open the phone.

There are also rumors claiming that the alleged successor of the Elite X3 smartphone will feature a few improved specs from the previous device. It could mean that the upcoming device will have a Snapdragon 835 processor with 6 GB of RAM instead of the current model's Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM.

The device is also expected to come out with a virtual trackpad that could work just like the physical trackpad seen on typical laptops with left and right buttons. This could mean that the users will be able to control the device easily.

The pricing for the rumored new Windows 10 smartphones is still unrevealed, but it could be reasonably priced to encourage more users to purchase the product. However, there are no confirmed announcements about the rumored smartphone device from HP and Microsoft at the moment.
