'New Girl' season 5 spoilers: New trailer features Megan Fox as Reagan

"New Girl" season 5 is about to debut, and ahead of the new season, the show released a teaser clip that sees Jess (Zooey Deschanel), Nick (Jake Johnson), Cece (Hannah Simone), Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) back for more wacky moments. This time, they will be joined by a new roommate, played by Megan Fox.

The promo starts with Jess being her typically cheerful self as she declares, "This is our year!"

Guest star Fred Armisen is also seen in the clip dressed as Jess. The actor is seen in a brown wig and glasses and is dressed in a floral shift and bright pink cardigan. Trying his best to mimic Jess's voice, he says, "Hi Nick… Hi Schmidt…" Nick shakes his head in disapproval at this, while Schmidt looks on in disgust.

Meanwhile, Cece is having some problems choosing the right dress for her wedding day and she enlists Winston to help her out. Cece is seen trying out a dress that is obviously not her style, and she wails that she cannot get married in it. Winston gives his take on the dress and tells her that the dress looks like she's about to go looking for wizards.

Fox is also seen in the clip, as it was previously reported that the "Transformers" star will be appearing in multiple episodes as Reagan, a pharmaceutical sales representative who happens to have a connection with Cece.
According to TVLine, Reagan rents Jess's room while she is sequestered on jury duty. Deschanel will not be seen in some episodes of the show as she took time off for maternity leave.

In the trailer, the boys come face to face with Reagan, and the experience appears to be too much for Nick as he starts sweating profusely in her presence, which Winston helpfully points out to him.

"New Girl" season 5 premieres on Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
