Netflix's "The Witcher" is progressing steadily into an eventual release as a series adaptation, as the first episode's script is done and the writer has hinted which characters will possibly appear in the show's pilot.

Writer Lauren Hissrich has recently finished a first draft of the script of the pilot episode for "The Witcher," and since then, things have progressed quite smoothly and the script is now set. After finishing the script, however, Hissrich actively answered some fan queries on Twitter and actually gave quite a good list of which characters to expect in the upcoming Netflix show.

In addition to the name-dropping, Hissrich also made brief, multiple one-word descriptions of their personalities and how they will possibly influence the progression of the story as well as how they can be viewed in the mind's eye. Of course, Geralt of Rivia will be included as he is the protagonist of the books and the video games and is described by Hissrich as "Stoic. Circumspect. Balanced. Fierce. Soft-and-squishy-in-a-tiny-place-in-his-heart-that-he'll-never-reveal-until-maybe-the-end-and-even-then-it-will-just-be-a-hint."

Geralt's dark-haired and problematic love-interest Yennefer will also be present and she will be as "Fiery. Proud. Shrewd. Contradictory" as ever and will probably have the same on-again, off-again relationship with Geralt with bouts of infidelity all throughout their partnership, such as their pairing in the books.

Geralt's adopted daughter Ciri is also to be expected though she probably will be a child in the show like in the books compared with her grown-up appearance in the video games. She will be "Resilient. Relentless. Brazen. Growing" though probably won't be ready to fight at such a young age.

The resident comic relief and invaluable troubadour companion Jaskier will also be present, those who have played the video games will know Jaskier as the mouthy and narcissistic bard Dandelion who gets into all sorts of trouble and frequently has to be rescued by Geralt.

Triss Merigold will also be likely present and is described as "Spunky. Idealistic. Insecure. Conflicted" and will also harbor the same jealousy toward her best friend Yennefer for her relationship with Geralt. Other characters might include Cahir, the high-vampire Regis, Vilgefortz, Emperor Emhyr, Milva, Leo Bonhart, the dragon-in-disguise Borch Three Jackdaws, Angouleme, female bard Essi Daven, and Yarpen Zigrin.

Fans must bear in mind that some character might get omitted though depending on the production for the upcoming show adaptation.
