"My Hero Academia's" second season might have just finished, but fans have more to look forward to — season 3 has been officially confirmed.

The hit anime series from animation studio Bones ended its second season on Sept. 30. Along with the announcement of the third season of the anime series, a promo trailer has also been released. Though there hasn't been any concrete information on when season 3 will air, fans can most likely expect 25 more episodes of "My Hero Academia."

Meanwhile, in season 2's final episode, Izuku Midoriya went head-to-head with the very lethal Tomura Shigaraki, who promised that he would not go easy on Izuku the next time they faced each other. The two faced each other during Izuku's class trip.

The series upped its villain ratio with the introduction of the new bad guys including a young girl named Himiko Toga, who evaded the law after a string of deaths that were connected to her occurred. There was also a standoffish young man named Dabi who sported a myriad of stitches and body piercings. Both baddies were brought in as potential recruits to the League of Villains and they want to take the same path as Stain.

All of these developments were good for Izuku and his friends as the villains bickered with each other. Season 3 could change this dynamic as Tomura is determined to find his conviction that a hero can't save everyone.

The animated show, which is adapted from the manga written by Kohei Horikoshi, tells the story of a world where having superpowers are a common occurrence. People with superpowers, known as Quirks, attend schools in order to gauge if they have what it takes to become a superhero.

The manga and anime focus on Izuku, a boy without Quirks, who dreams of becoming the No. 1 hero. His dreams become more attainable after meeting the current top hero, All Might.
