Last week on "Modern Family," Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) took matters into his own hands when he found out that Cam (Eric Stonestreet) took him to an interactive play, while Jay (Ed O'Neill) had to tell Phil (Ty Burrell) that he didn't want him to be a member of his country club.

Cam took Mitch to an interactive play, and the latter was angered by this as he wasn't told beforehand that he would have to participate in the performance. Mitch was tasked to play the role of Vlad, the ex-boyfriend of a very drunk girl at a high school reunion, and the girl made matters worse by kissing him onstage.

Later, Mitch got his revenge when he decided to take Cam's big moment, as the latter had the role of the elderly janitor in the play. Remembering all of Cam's lines from his rehearsals at home, Mitch took over the role and performed the part for his partner, up to his dramatic dying scene.

Meanwhile, Phil pestered Jay to help him become a member of his country club, but at a night for prospective members, Phil kept embarrassing Jay by doing magic tricks and making stale jokes. Jay told him that he doesn't want him to be a member of the club as it was the only place where he could get some peace, and though Phil was disappointed, he insisted on a boys' night out with his father-in-law. Phil took him to the interactive play, and Jay instantly hated it.

This week, in the episode titled "Thanksgiving Jamboree," Cam and Mitch are hosting this year's Thanksgiving dinner, and Cam is sparing no expense. While Phil tries to get used to Rainer Shine (guest star Nathan Fillion) dating his daughter, Hayley (Sarah Hyland) has to tell her father that she would rather spend the holiday with her new boyfriend.

Elsewhere in the episode, Alex (Ariel Winter) and Cam and Mitch's houseguest, Dwight (Winston Duke), get to know each other a little better than her Uncle Cam would like, while Mitch had to stop getting silly to tell Cam the truth.

"Modern Family" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
