Maddie Ziegler has been on "Dance Moms" since the show aired its premiere episode in 2011. The 13-year-old star, along with her sister Mackenzie, 11, and their mother Melissa Gisoni, has been part of the series' original cast, but a new report claims that Maddie is ready to say goodbye to the Lifetime show to pursue an acting career in Hollywood.

According to Us Weekly, sources confirmed that season 6 of "Dance Moms" will be Maddie's last season on the show. The star, who rose to fame in the series, became such a fan favorite for her skill as well as her natural charisma on the dance floor that even celebrities took notice of her and became instant fans of her work.

Maddie got her first acting job in 2012, portraying the younger version of main character Deb in an episode of "Drop Dead Diva." This year, she had a guest spot on ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" and in the Disney series "Austin & Ally."

Maddie's appearance on Sia's music video for "Chandelier" made a lot of people take notice of the young star as she was invited to dance on several TV shows following the video's release, including "Dancing with the Stars", "Saturday Night Live" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The 13-year-old appeared in two more of Sia's videos—"Elastic Heart" and "Big Girls Cry."

The teen dancing sensation is about to make her film debut in "Alive," a feature film written and directed by Sia. She also stars in next year's "The Book of Henry" with Naomi Watts.  A source told Us that the star has grown out of her role on the show and is planning to focus on acting. The insider added that acting is something that Maddie really wants to pursue and that the star "is in high demand."

Apart from acting, the star has also starred in some ad campaigns for Target and WowWee Snap Pets. This year, she made Time's list of The 30 Most Influential Teens of 2015.

Reps for Maddie have yet to confirm the reports.
