Macbook Pro & Air back to school sale 2013: Apple deals before Macbook Pro with retina display release in September

Summer is nearly over and back to school sales on Apple products are underway before the new semester begins next month.

Best Buy is currently selling the latest model of Apple's Macbook Air with savings of $100 off.

The 13.3 inch display Macbook Air with 4GB memory and 128 GB flash storage is currently on sale for $999.99, down from the regular price of $1099.99. The 13 inch model with 256 GB flash storage has also been reduced to $1,199.99 down from $1,299.99.

The 11.6 inch display Macbook Air with 4GB memory and 128GB flash storage is on sale for $899.99, reduced from $999.99. The 11.6 inch model with 256 GB flahs storage is available for $1,099.99, also $100 dollars off.

Meanwhile, MacMall is also selling the 2012 Macbook Pro models with savings between $49 and up to $649. The 2012 Macbook Pro with Retina display models have also been reduced $100 to $499.

The latest Macbook Air was released at Apple's World Wide Developer's conference in June 2013. The refreshed line of Macbook Pro, however, was not revealed, along with the much awaited new line of Macbook Pro retina display models.

The new line of 2013 Macbook Pro and Macbook Pro with Retina display with upgraded specs may be unveiled at the Apple keynote event rumored to be slated for Sept. 10.

Both models will feature the all new Intel Haswell processor, making the battery life more efficient.
