Last month, Lamar Odom spent Christmas at his hospital room with his children as he continued to work on his recovery following his accidental overdose in October. Though his children shared a photo with the former NBA star, very little was known about his condition. But his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, recently gave an update about his health, saying Odom is "doing amazing" in his recovery.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star talked about Odom while promoting her new show, "Kocktails with Khloe," on Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Television Critics Association winter press tour (via ABC News).

When asked how her ex-husband is doing, the reality star said, "[Lamar's] doing amazing and I'm so proud of his strength that he has to fight this battle."

"Because it's not my story to tell, I try to respect that, and I want him to be able to tell that story. I'm just here to support and care for him," she said, adding that she was grateful for everyone's love and concern.

Kardashian has been by Odom's side since the basketball star was hospitalized in Nevada after he was found unconscious at a brothel in the area last October.

It was reported that Kardashian and her family arranged for Odom to be transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles so that she can continue to care for him.The former athlete is said to have suffered from cognitive impairment, speech problems, and kidney damage since the reported overdose. But it appears that he is recovering. Last month, it was reported that he was able to take a few steps without a walker.

Meanwhile, a source told People magazine on Wednesday that the father of two will be transferred soon to a live-in rehabilitation center.

"The plan is for him to move in the next few days," said the insider. "At the center, Lamar will continue to receive amazing therapy. He still has many challenges but is making progress. He is a fighter!"
