Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga have come a long way since they first met on the set of the singer's music video for her song "You and I." Since then, the two have been dating, and last Valentines' Day, the "Chicago Fire" actor popped the question to the "Applause" singer with a heart-shaped engagement ring.

Two days after their engagement, Lady Gaga took to Instagram to share the exciting news, and she posted a picture of the stunning sparkler along with the caption, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"

Kinney was on "Watch What Happens Live" last week and he reminisced about the time he met the singer. The actor told host Andy Cohen that their first meeting on the set of the "You and I" music video was "awkward'.

"I remember I went up, and we're rolling, and I kissed her and she didn't expect it," he said. "They cut, and she slapped me. And then it was just awkward."

Kinney said that he kissed her again, but Lady Gaga did not slap him that second time.

"We had a good time. I think there was chemistry," said the actor. Kinney added that they shot the video until "4 or 5 in the morning" and that they exchanged information and kept in touch after the shoot.

While there have been rumors about a wedding taking place very soon, Kinney said that they have not started planning for the special day since both of them are very busy. Aside from "Chicago Fire," Kinney has been busy on the set of two movies, "Rock the Kasbah" and "The Forest." Meanwhile, Lady Gaga recently made her TV debut on "American Horror Story: Hotel," where she has been cast as an eccentric, blood-thirsty countess.

For their wedding, Kinney told Entertainment Tonight that he wanted to make sure that his fiancée will have the kind of wedding that she wants.

"I told her I didn't mind doing the little white chapel thing," he said to ET. "She wants what she wants. I want to make sure that it's right what she wants."

"We're going to take our time and do it right," he said.
