'Kingdom Hearts 3' trailer to launch at E3; game debut set for 2018

Square Enix's upcoming action role-playing game (RPG) "Kingdom Hearts 3" has yet to be launched. Gamers, however, do not have to wait that long as more information will be unveiled at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). A company insider also reveals that the RPG will debut in 2018.

The next installment in the "Kingdom Hearts" series will be unveiled at the 2017 E3, Square Enix insider Jose Alamo shared the news on Twitter. According to Alamo, the developers will most likely launch a trailer during the event, if everything goes well. Aside from the E3 trailer, Alamo believes that toward the end of the year, Square Enix could drop another "Kingdom Hearts 3" trailer.

The insider claims that gamers will see the title by next year, even if Square Enix does not manage to shove in all the content they want. IBTimes points out that chopping content is not an uncommon move for game developers since they often do it to launch the game on time.

Recently, an investors' document was leaked. It indicates the studio's newest games and upcoming titles, including "Kingdom Hearts 3." Thus, confirming Alamo's statement.

Fans have been clamoring for the upcoming title. With very little information about it, various rumors have started popping up. But in January, director Tetsuya Nomura spoke out and apologized for the delay, and he promised to produce a title that meets gamer expectations.

He said, "While we are making them, I apologize that the wait will be be a bit longer for 'Kingdom Hearts III' and 'Final Fantasy VII Remake.' I am very sorry, but to that degree I will make a game that will meet your expectations."

Square Enix has yet to comment on the latest claims. Gamers should stay tuned for more updates, as the 2017 E3 is set to take place next month from June 13 to 15. Perhaps the game studio will shed some light on the rumors at the said event.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" will be made available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles when it launches.
