Kim Richards has been staying out of the spotlight since "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" ended its fifth season earlier this year. The former child star went through some challenging times over the past few months, as she struggled with her sobriety and was arrested on two separate occasions. Now, the reality star says that she's doing much better and that her life has improved as she stays positive about the future.

Speaking to "RHOBH" co-star Brandi Glanville on her podcast titled "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered," Richards said, "Everything is good...It's a good time for me right now."

"I'm really happy things are going good," the 51-year old added.

Glanville and Richards both did not return as full-time cast members for the sixth season of the Bravo show. Both ladies agreed that since they stopped having cameras film their every move, they feel less stressed now and that this had a positive effect on their lives.

"We were both saying it's relaxing for us and we're not so stressed out with everything that we would normally be stressed about," said Glanville. The 42-year-old added that they now wake up smiling and that they don't have to deal with the drama anymore.

"It's better now," Richards agreed. "It was a rough time for a bit there but it's just putting everything back in order and just really focusing on my family and me."

During the last season of the show, both Richards and Glanville were scrutinized by their co-stars and the show's fans for their behavior. It can be recalled that Richards was accused of falling off the wagon when she appeared to be behaving strangely at Eileen Davidson's game night, and later, Richards admitted that she took her ex's pain pills, which resulted in her odd behavior. Meanwhile, some of the ladies were offended by Glanville's actions during season 5, and Andy Cohen recently said that it got to a point where some of the cast members didn't want to be around her anymore.

Richards said that living in the present is the "best way" for her today.

"Realizing today is beautiful and I'm super grateful for right now and all who's in it," she said.
