Joey Feek continues to battle terminal cancer, but the country singer is still finding reasons to celebrate life as she got a visit from a cuddly puppy on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

Her husband and singing partner, Rory, took to the couple's official Facebook page to post a picture of his wife kissing the puppy, and he captioned it, "some babies came to play with Indy the other day, but I think her mama loved their visit the most."

The previous day, the 40-year-old bonded with Rory's sister Marcy as they reminisced how they started their restaurant Marcy Jo's Mealhouse together nine years ago.

On Rory's Jan. 28 blog post, the 49-year-old reflected on how they began their careers as country singers. He said that Joey had all but given up on her dreams of making music and was working everyday at the restaurant, which was near their farmhouse. Rory said that little did Joey know that while she was waiting tables, God had plans to make her dreams come true.

He said that a friend of a friend recommended that they try out for a reality show called "Can You Duet," which was looking for America's next great country duo. When they made it past their first round of auditions, they were asked what their stage name was going to be.

"I told Joey that I think we should tell them 'Joey+Rory' because that's what it actually was..." Rory wrote.

"As I sit here with my laptop at the dining room table with my beautiful wife sleeping peacefully in the next room... I find myself looking back at that moment," he continued.

Rory said that the plus sign in their stage name meant something more, and when they picked their name, they were adding God into the equation. The singer said that God made things possible, like their "beautiful marriage" and their music career, and their most "precious addition," their daughter Indiana.

At times, Rory said that he asked why God would give them an "incredible addition," only to learn that he and his daughter will be losing Joey to cancer soon. Rory said that he knows that the day is coming when he will have to live a life without his wife, but still, they choose to have faith.

"So Joey and I do our best to only see the plus's in our life," he said.

The couple was recently nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category and is going up against Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe, among others.

Shelton recently said that he would love Joey and Rory to win the award as he took to Twitter on Monday and wrote, "I'd love to win a Grammy but honestly want to see @joeyandrory win that one."
