'iZombie' season 3 spoilers, updates: David Anders teases the new Blaine

"iZombie" actor David Anders, who portrays the conniving zombie Blaine, recently admitted that he still misses the evil character that Blaine once was.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Anders shared that he misses the "smarmy charm and the one-liners." The new Blaine pales in comparison to the witty rhetoric of the old Blaine.  "He's just kind of learning the world and learning all these terrible things that this guy, who people say he is, did in the past," the actor shared.

To recap, Blaine lost all his memories last season to a curse, which has made him forget all the evil deeds he has committed.

When the news outlet asked the actor about how his character feels at the moment, he said that the new Blaine thinks he likes where his life is headed at the moment. Currently, he still has feelings for Peyton (Aly Michalka). From the looks of it, the feeling is mutual.

Liv (Rose McIver), however, seems to be having difficulty accepting the new Blaine. After all, the zombie was responsible for killing her undead boyfriend. In addition, he used to murder people for their brains and serve them to his loyal zombie customers.

In the episodes to come, viewers will see how Liv will fare with Blaine's new attitude. They will have to work together in solving murder cases.

This season, viewers can also expect Blaine to face his father, Angus (Robert Knepper). Anders shared that episode 7 or 8 of season 3 will feature more of their relationship. His father has invested in a new business with Don-E (Bryce Hodgson), which they call the Scratching Post.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Rob Thomas shared that the bar is a zombie's haven, which serves brains on a platter with spices from all parts of the world, including the ghost pepper.

"iZombie" season 3 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
