'Iron Man 4' plot: possible storyline and new Iron Man?

There is a possibility that "Iron Man 4" will have to go through a drastic change in its storyline if negotiations between Marvel execs and Robert Downey Jr. fall apart.

Though director Shane Black confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will return as Tony Stark in the much awaited "Iron Man 4," production for the movie remains at a stand-still due to negotiations between Marvel executives and Downey.

The negotiations between Marvel execs and Downey are said to be about the actor's request for a pay increase to his already reported $50 million. This is said to be due to the enormous success of "Iron Man 3" which earned a whopping $1.22 billion worldwide. So until both parties come to an agreement, "Iron Man 4" will remain at rest.

Meanwhile, rumors surrounding "Iron Man 4" still abounds with talks about the possible plot line for the movie.

Inquisitr reported that the plot line for "Iron Man 4" can possibly revolve around Iron Man meeting the real Mandarin. It is said that the story could base on Ten Rings, the terrorist organization bent on the destruction of world peace. Ten Rings was the organization behind the kidnap of Tony Stark in the original "Iron Man" movie which led to the creation of the famous iron suit.

Another possible plot line for the story could revolve around a new Iron Man. It has been rumored that since no final agreement has been met by Marvel execs and Downey, Ty Simpkins could possibly be the one chosen to play the role of Iron Man.

13 year old Simpkins, who recently starred in "Jurassic World," is rumored to play the part due to his previous involvement with "Iron Man 3" where he played the role of the kid, Harley Kenner, who helped Stark fix his Iron Man suit. If the rumors are indeed true, Simpkins would already be of age when "Iron Man 4" hit cinemas in 2019.

Whether these rumors can be confirmed or not, fans of Iron Man can rest assure that the billionaire philanthropist playboy will definitely make an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" which is set to hit theaters on May 16, 2016.
