In a fictional, post-apocalyptic world that doesn't have guns, "Into the Badlands" is known as the TV series that portrays fighting as an art. Episode 8 may have been subdued in this area but the story of Sunny (Daniel Wu) has begun to unravel in the most heart-wrenching reveal that many fans may have expected but were still definitely not prepared for.

Vengeful and violent, Sunny forged an unlikely alliance with The Widow (Emily Beecham). It all started with a ruse to lure the latter out but when circumstances turned dire, The Widow quickly revealed that there's one important reason why Sunny should keep her alive despite his murderous streak: She knows where to find Veil (Madeleine Mantock) and confirmed that he was father to a son named Henry.

The fight to relieve the world of Baron Chau's (Eleanor Matsuura) existence was witnessed by Bajie (Nick Frost), who recently told his story about the Flea. According to TV Fanatic, the running fan theory is that The Widow is the Flea. If that is so, then when Bajie finally makes it back to Sunny's band of misfits, it could get really violent.

Meanwhile, Marton Csokas' performance of Quinn has got "Into the Badlands" fans creeped out and more than a little grossed out. Quinn was eating a bloody slab of steak complete with red smears on his lips before announcing that he was planning to marry Veil and make Henry his rightful heir. Veil reacted the same way many fans did by saying, "You can't be serious."

Though Veil did a fantastic job of keeping herself from losing her sanity to protect Henry, her true feelings revealed what may happen in the next few episodes of "Into the Badlands" season 2 if she ends up being hitched with Quinn. According to her, there is no way that this marriage will lead to consummation because she'll have to kill him first. After all, Quinn did kill her parents.

Will Quinn die in the hands of Sunny, The Widow or Veil? With the current progression of "Into the Badlands" season 2, fans are hoping to see the end of Quinn. But because the series has been confirmed for season 3, some fans are dreading the fact that he may make it to the season finale.

"Thanks to series creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar, the terrific cast, led by Daniel Wu, the amazing martial arts team guided by the incomparable Master Dee Dee and fight directors Stephen Fung and Andy Cheng, and everyone else involved who brings this thrill ride to the fans," said AMC president Charlie Collier, on the renewal of the series for a third season, as reported by Deadline.

"Into the Badlands" season 2 episode 9 titled "Nightingale Sings No More" will air on May 14 on AMC.
