Now that filming for "Hellboy" is over, David Harbour is keen on getting back to his "dad bod" physique for "Stranger Things." Apparently, he even asked to be cast in a reboot of "Indiana Jones" as an overweight version of the titular character.

In an interview with Collider, the 42-year-old actor has stated that he hopes to be in a reboot starring the iconic archaeologist-turned-adventurer Indiana Jones. That said, Harbour has stated that he wants to put his own twist or image for the character, which is to be Jones with all the pudginess of Police Chief Jim Hopper, his role in "Stranger Things."

"I love all kinds of stuff. I really am so eclectic in my taste. I love film noir, I love thrillers, and I love big blockbuster popcorn cinema stuff, but I like it when it's twinged with a bit more social consciousness. There was some joking online, six months or a year ago, about rebooting 'Indiana Jones,' and I would love to reboot 'Indiana Jones,' if he was bipolar and a little bit fat and spent too much time grading papers," stated Harbour.

It seemed that Harbour was just joking, but sometimes, popular demand can make a lot of things tip over in the audience's favor. At this time, however, there are no plans for any reboot of "Indiana Jones," and even if there was, there might be a lot more qualified and younger candidates than Harbour.

It can be recalled that the original Indiana Jones back in 1981 was played by none other than a physically fit Harrison Ford, who also played the original Han Solo in the original "Star Wars" trilogy. The last "Indiana Jones" movie was 2008's "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and featured a senior Ford already past his prime, meaning Harbour may not be too far off as a casting choice as long as the reboot does not warrant a younger Jones.
