Incredibles 2 release date: Production still not started

Will Incredibles 2 really come out as scheduled on November 2017? How about December, 2018?

These were the two dates listed as possible release for Incredible 2, a story about a family gifted with super powers which came out back in November 5, 2004.

Barely 10 years later, word came out that Pixar is planning to release a sequel to the family-oriented movie but to date, there has been no word on production. Actually it seems that production hasn't started at all.

Word about the possible sequel came out in March of 2014 and thus far, nothing has been heard on the actual state of the follow-up animated film.

Information about the movie is kept a minimum though director and writer Brad Bird did mention that the sequel will be character-driven and that he would go easy on special effects. Additionally, Bird did mention that he would not talk about the project too much to ensure high anticipation and excitement for the planned sequel.

It was revealed before that the sequel could very well center on the youngest of the Incredibles clan, Jack-Jack. The youngest child who seems to be gifted with the ability to transform into any state (as seen in Incredibles 1) will come back all grown up but will be rebellious because of his over-protective parents.

In a previous post, we did mention that Jack-Jack will become an outcast and may be drawn to the dark side as an apprentice. In the end, it was earlier rumored that Jack-Jack would be given a hard mission by the villain (yet to be known) to kill his family.

However, there is now word that the film may be centering on Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl who will be fighting crime while at the same time holding their real identities secret.

On which of the two will be followed is anyone's guess right now but most of it will probably take shape once production does commence.
