The season 5 finale of "Hawaii Five-0" saw Kono (Grace Park) and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) tying the knot. For the new season of the CBS show, another member of Five-0 may be looking forward to settling down as executive producer Peter Lenkov said that Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) will be planning to propose to Catherine (Michelle Borth).

A photo of McGarrett showing off the wedding ring was posted on Entertainment Weekly, and Lenkov gave the website a hint of what's to come regarding McGarrett's love life.

"Boiling him down, McGarrett is a warrior with a huge heart," said Lenkov to EW. "From our first season, Catherine has stolen that heart and now he's ready to take that major leap in their relationship six years later."

McGarrett and Catherine spent a lot of time together back in season 4 as she briefly joined Five-0 then, but after a trip to Afghanistan to find a boy kidnapped by the Taliban, Catherine opted to stay to continue looking for the boy and she said goodbye to Steve, who was heartbroken.

Although she came back to attend Kono's wedding in season 5 and although the pair had a happy reunion, Lenkov told The Hollywood Reporter that it's not resolved how long she's going to stay in Hawaii.

"They both have a lot to talk about, which they don't really get to in the finale, so I'm hoping that we resolve it at the beginning of next year and decide the fate of Catherine at that time," he told THR.

Moreover, Steve's relationship with Catherine won't be without complications as the new season brings a new love interest for him.

"You may have heard that Sarah Carter is coming in as Lynn, a nature lover with whom McGarrett goes on a wild adventure," said Lenkov. "Let's just say that it's going to be a busy fall for our head of Five-0."

"Hawaii Five-0" season 5 premieres on Friday, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. on CBS.
