"Grimm" returns for season 5 with a promise to be the best so far, according to its cast and crew.

With less than a month to go, fans will soon be able to see what Silas Weir Mitchell, who plays Monroe in the series, has been saying as a "really good season."

"Grimm" season 4 final episode, "Cry Havoc," ended with Juliette dying and Nick's vow for revenge.

"Grimm" season 5 promises to delve even deeper into the story of how things began. It will be like a blast from the past with more creatures figuring in the episode, including the appearance of the Loch Ness monster and gila monsters.

Mitchell tells KGW (via Moviepilot), "This year there's one big beautiful storyline that sort of galvanizes everything... There's a big thing going on that sort of unifies all of the characters in this one major event. There's still obviously separate storylines within that big event, but it's one big event that the writers really pulled something out of a hat in a really good way to kind of bring it all together."

The upcoming season is expected to be more fluid when it comes to its storytelling, unlike in the previous seasons where it seemed to jump all over the place. Enemies will bring the main characters closer together, which will eventually shed light on the whole story.

Although it is still not clear what season 5 will be about, the possibility of it focusing on the Seven Keys and Coins of Zakynthos will hopefully answer the significance of these elements in the story.

These elements would also probably give way to the Wesen uprising, which is also linked to the arrival of the new Wesen King after the death of King Frederick Renard (Dan Kremer) in season 4.

Carlson Young joins to the show to play the role of Selina Golias who will protect a Wesen survivor, leading to the death of her boyfriend. It is not clear yet whether she would play a human or a Wesen, although her connection to the Wesen uprising gives weight to her character being the latter.

"Orange is the New Black" star Elizabeth Rodriguez will also return to the show to play her role as FBI agent Chavez.

"Grimm" season 5's premiere episode, entitled "The Grimm Identity," will air on Thursday, Oct. 30, on NBC.

"The Grimm Identity," airs October 30, 2015 on NBC.
