Dark action roleplaying game (aRPG) "Grim Dawn" is about to get even grimmer, as it will be getting its new story expansion named "Forgotten Gods," which will add more enemies and loot as well as some bosses to slay.

As such, "Forgotten Gods" is marked as the second expansion for the aRPG, the first one being "Ashes of Malmouth" that was released back in Oct. 2017. "Forgotten Gods" was announced as underway by developer Crate Entertainment and they also plan to release it soon, with another development update expected around March 19. It is worth noting that there is no release date in sight yet but it is expected to arrive sometime during the second half of 2018.

In "Forgotten Gods," players will be able to journey beyond the Erulan Empire where the new story will apparently take players to what appears to be an Eastern-themed civilization with its old Gods perhaps serving as central plot and story elements. This was indicated by the banner artwork for the said expansion that shows an Arab-looking warrior with a scimitar and Middle-Eastern armor standing in front of what appears to be a ziggurat, which is a common sight during the ancient times in Middle-Eastern countries and in Ancient Egypt.

Hence, players can expect a change in the game's climate and setting. There are no videos showcasing the new environments for "Forgotten Gods," though players can expect lots of sand and the usual palm tree and sunny locales with creatures consisting possibly of giant scorpions or mummified undead. There should also be the occasional tombs and ruins to explore which contain lots of traps and treasures which will add to the players' arsenal.

In addition to the new and fresh setting for "Grim Dawn," "Forgotten Gods" will also be adding new powers and skills for each class and hybrid class of the game along with new monsters and gear to keep players busy for weeks or even months. More details are bound to be revealed by the developers in the coming months as the development for the production progresses.
