The special 300th episode of "Grey's Anatomy" will celebrate the show's longevity and success by having callbacks to past beloved characters and personalities.
The sneak peek into the upcoming installment titled "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story" was released recently and showed Drs. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) meeting up with Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) outside of the hospital. "A rusty rollercoaster broke off the ride and flew into a crowd in a county fair. There are multiple injuries all around," Webber tells the two doctors who are there to meet the unfortunate patients. The two victims are still fastened onto the rollercoaster compartment to avoid aggravating any injuries. A professional team of technicians will soon arrive to pry them out of their seats. Little do the doctors know that they will be reminded of their past coworkers at the hospital.
"I told you I didn't want to ride that ride, I told you it was a rusty death trap!" the female victim snaps at her male counterpart. "Yes Cleo, you were right. Ok? You are always right," the bruised guy says in return. Grey overhears the victims and tells Karev in disbelief, "I think I'm hallucinating. Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Apparently, the casualties remind Grey of Drs. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and George O'Malley (T.R. Knight) who were beloved characters in the past. It remains to be seen who else will brought up through callbacks and flashbacks.
In a recent interview about the milestone episode, Grey said, "So the episode is definitely classic 'Grey's' and we pay homage to every character that has walked through the door. All of the cast members that we love and miss."
"Grey's Anatomy" season 14 episode 7 will air on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
