Sony likes to reward its loyal "Gran Turismo" player base, which is why its new game bundle for "Gran Turismo Sport" comes bundled with a real car, for a hefty fee of $46,600 per copy.

The bundle not only comes with the game, but also with a PlayStation 4 (PS4), a PS4 virtual reality (VR) goggle bundle, 12 months of PS Plus subscription, a Bravia 4K television (TV), a Thrustmaster T-GT driving wheel controller for the game, an APIGA AP1 racing chair, and of course, a 2018 Mazda MX-5. The bundle is available via Sony Interactive Entertainment Taiwan Limited and is priced at the aforementioned $1.4 million Taiwanese dollars or about $46,600.

Only one bundle has been bought, reportedly by a car collector, and is the most expensive bundle for "Gran Turismo Sport."

The said car, the Mazda MX-5 comes with "Gran Turismo" logos and branding, and by the looks of it on the bundle, is a convertible version with a removable roof. The MX-5 has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $31,900 to $39,200 and only has a seating capacity of two people, with six speeds on both automatic and manual. People wanting to buy the higher end deal for the car may as well buy the bundle from Sony Taiwan, especially if they also want to get all the extra devices.

Website Jalopnik, however, was not convinced with the deal and proceeded to formulate its own version of the bundle, it includes "Gran Turismo Sport" for $59.99, PS4 Pro for $396.99, PS VR bundle for $499.99, 12 months of PS Plus for $59.99, a 55-inch Bravia 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR) OLED TV for $4999, Thrustmaster T-GT wheel controller for $799.99, an APIGA AP1 racing chair for $389, and a base 2018 Mazda MX-5 with red paint for $30,705.

All in all, the deal, which Jalopnik presented as an alternative, costs only $38,000, about $8,000 cheaper than Sony's "Gran Turismo Sport" bundle.

"Gran Turismo Sport" has been released on Oct. 17 and is available only for the PS4.
