"Far Cry 5's" system requirements have been revealed, and thankfully, they are not too much of a far cry from the usual demands of a AAA (triple A) video game.

Developer and publisher Ubisoft has announced what hardware gamers will need on PC in order to at the very least run the game and at most, see it in full splendor. Unlike a lot of the most recent big-budget titles though, it will not tax computers as much in order to be played on the common resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p).

The bare minimum PC owners will need in order for the game to start is a 64-bit Windows operating system (OS), either Windows 7, 8.1, or 10. They will also need a central processing unit (CPU) of Intel Core i5-2400 running at 3.1 gigahertz (GHz) or Advanced Micro Systems (AMD) FX-6300 running at 3.5 GHz.

This should be paired with 8 gigabytes (GB) of system random access memory (RAM) and a graphics processing unit (GPU) of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon R9 270, both with 2 GB of video RAM (VRAM).

These will ensure smooth gameplay for the "low" graphics setting preset on a resolution of 1280×720 (720p).

For those with beefier gaming hardware, the recommended system requirements are the same 64-bit Windows OS, a CPU of Intel Core i7-4770 running at 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 running at 3.2 GHz, 8 GB of RAM as well, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290X, both with 4 GB of VRAM. These specifications should ensure an average frame rate of 60 frames per second (FPS) in "high" graphics preset and 1080p.

As for the smooth 3840×2160 (4K) experience in high/ultra graphics preset at 60 FPS, players will need Intel Core i7-6700K at 4.0 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X at 3.4 GHz, 16 GB of system RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 CFX, both with 8 GB of VRAM. Though these specifications will likely cost users thousands of dollars.

Players will get to see how their hardware sizes up against "Far Cry 5" once it gets released on March 27 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 (PS4).
