While current generation flagship smartphones sport impressive specifications along with a very high price tag, Elephone is giving consumers the opportunity to purchase its P7000 at an ideal price/performance ratio. The company's P7000 will initially go through a pre-order process, where the device will carry a price tag of $229.99. After that session has expired, Elephone P7000 will be available to purchase for $239.99. In terms of hardware specifications, Elephone has incorporated the very best in that specific price range.

Elephone P7000 possesses an octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, fingerprint scanner and provides compatibility for seven different ROMs.

Starting off, Elephone P7000 is armed with a MediaTek MT6752 SoC, which happens to be the same one incorporated in Lenovo's K3 Note (K3 Note possesses a price tag of $145 and is able to beat OnePlus One, Samsung's Galaxy S5 and HTC's One M8, according to AnTuTu's benchmarking results). However, the primary difference here is that Cortex-A53's octa-core processor's clock speed has been increased to 2.0 GHz compared to 1.7 GHz on Lenovo K3 Note. Additionally, the handset also features 3 GB of RAM, a Mali-T760 GPU and 16 GB of expandable internal memory.

Elephone P7000 has also been fitted with a massive 3,450 mAh battery, and with a 1080p resolution being rendered on a 5.5 inch screen size, smartphone users will get additional battery life out of the handset. However, one unique feature that separates P7000 from the remainder of the high-end smartphones is not its fingerprint scanner, but its compatibility with seven different ROMs. P7000 is running on Google's Lollipop 5.0 update, and if users root their handsets, they will be able to run a custom ROM in order to gain additional perks. Elephone P7000 supports the following ROMs.

  1. Android Lollipop (stock)
  2. Android KitKat (stock)
  3. Cyanogenmod
  4. Xiaomi's MIUI
  5. Meizu's Flyme OS
  6. Huawei's EMUI
  7. Freeme OS

Pre-orders of the smartphone will be starting soon and consumers who are interested purchasing Elephone P7000 can visit the company's partners page to get additional information.
