One man's trash becomes another man's treasure in the post-apocalyptic roleplaying game (RPG) "Death Trash," as players will scavenge and prowl the futuristic wasteland in order to survive while experiencing ridiculous amounts of violence and gore first.

Developer Tale Crafter has announced their new indie game, "Death Trash," which they have proudly categorized as a mixture of cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic literature genres, meaning the players are in for one heck of a dystopian future of humanity. As such, the game will incorporate some of the themes of both genres, which is commonly excessive gore, sexual references, and mutated monstrosities with the frequent trash-talking human being.

The developers have even added a command for the player character to vomit with the press of a button should players find something too grotesque for even them to handle. This shows how much the developers have put into crafting a truly gruesome experience, and it probably explains why, apart from budget constraints, they also had to render the game's graphics in 16-bit pixels instead of the usual 3D engine.

Website Rock, Paper, Shotgun has likened the game to a much "grimier, scarier, nastier 'Fallout,'" which is also a post-apocalyptic science-fiction (sci-fi) RPG. This means fans of that game will find plenty to like in "Death Trash." Unlike the first two "Fallout" games though, "Death Trash" will be utilizing real-time combat where player characters will run around the game-world in a top-down isometric view.

It does, however, share some familiar elements like crafting, a dialogue system, and mutant abilities which players can improve and apart from combat. There will also be multiplayer options in the form of a cooperative mode with others where players can invite friends to jump in and help them survive the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

At the moment though, there are no release dates announced by the developers, and the game is expected to be released when it is ready and polished.
