Blind Al will be back in "Deadpool 2."
Blackfilm.com reported that actress Leslie Uggams will reprise her role as Deadpool's (Ryan Reynolds) elderly but feisty roommate Blind Al in the sequel of the 2016 blockbuster hit movie.
Uggams personally confirmed the news during the afterparty for Oprah Winfrey's HBO film "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," where she told the publication that she will "definitely" return for "Deadpool 2."
Fans of the movie were endeared to Uggam's character after she and Reynolds showed a strong chemistry on screen.
Meanwhile, Josh Brolin shared several behind-the-scene looks on Instagram featuring his character Cable in the upcoming "Deadpool" sequel.
The first photo showed Brolin covered in a blue substance all over his face. The other one showed that a case was already fitted on his entire head. This means that Brolin is already preparing for his mutant character known for his distinct eyeball and bionic arm.
Other new additions to the cast of "Deadpool 2" include Zazie Beetz as the mutant mercenary Domino. On the other hand, Morena Baccarin will reprise her role as Deadpool's lady love Vanessa and Brianna Hildebrand will come back as the Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the upcoming film. However, Baccarin is expected to explore Vanessa's transformation into the Marvel X-Force member named Copycat in the upcoming sequel.
Film producer Simon Kinberg talked about the theme of the "Deadpool" sequel in a previous interview. According to Kinberg, "I think Deadpool 2 will comment on anything that's happening in movies today especially in superhero movies. The sort of glut or saturation of these movies and the proliferation of sequels is definitely something we'll play around with."
Reports claim that "Deadpool 2," directed by David Leitch, is expected to be released in theaters worldwide on March 2, 2018. However, both the 20<sup>th Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment have yet to confirm the said release date.
