The developer of "Cyberpunk 2077," CD Projekt RED, is still as generous to gamers as ever since it has announced that the upcoming futuristic roleplaying game (RPG) will be arriving on Steam and will not be exclusive to just one online market.

This much was confirmed by CD Projekt RED during a presentation spearheaded by the developer company CEO Adam Kiciński in which he also confirmed that their new game will not be exclusive to online game market GOG.com. It is worth noting the GOG is owned by CD Projekt RED itself and it is a common practice among developers or publishers with their own online market to make their games exclusive to that specific market.

The non-exclusivity is, however, not much of a surprising move since CD Projekt RED has always been generous with its "Witcher" trilogy games. Those who have been keeping track of the developers' games will recall that all three "Witcher" games have been made available to Steam too and not just GOG despite the landslide success of the developers on their games.

Still, Kiciński deemed it well to clarify their decision since recently, Microsoft made it a decision to have "Age of Empires: Definitive Edition" exclusive to their Microsoft Store at launch. Perhaps the game development company wanted to make it clear that they will not be taking the same limiting steps just to promote exclusivity for their games.

Apart from this, no new information has been released regarding the development progress for "Cyberpunk 2077," meaning fans will have to wait quite a while before anything new gets revealed for the game. CD Projekt RED has promised that the game will definitely be more ambitious than their previous multi-award winning game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

This should be enough as an assurance to fans that the game will be quite a blockbuster, if not one of the best games, when it gets released, which is speculated to be sometime next year. As such, an official reveal may be slated for this year.
