'Captain America: Civil War' concept art teases superhero battle

New concept art for Captain America: Civil War Marvel.com

Since last year, Marvel fans have known that "Captain America: Civil War" will feature a major fight between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). As the two gear up for an impending clash, the Avengers becomes divided into two opposing factions, and now, a new concept art released Marvel hints at an epic battle among the superheroes.

According to Cinemablend, the concept art which was created by Ryan Meinerding and Andy Park appears to show which heroes will be battling against in the upcoming film.

Right at the center of the image are Iron Man and Captain America, who are poised to deliver blows to each other.

Meanwhile, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) are ready to face off. Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) uses her powers to shield herself from Vision's (Paul Bettany) attack. The Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) uses his powerful claws against the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), while Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and War Hammer (Don Cheadle) are up in the air and engaged in their own fight.

While it is unclear whether the depicted fight scene will be featured in "Captain America: Civil War," other speculations have come up about the upcoming film, particularly about Spider-Man and his costume. Tom Holland will be making his debut as the webslinger in the Marvel movie, which marks the first time that the hero will be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe other than a standalone Spider-Man film.

According to Comicbook.com, in the "Civil War" comics, Peter Parker was taken under Tony Stark's wing for a time, and the two immediately bonded.

After his identity was compromised and his Aunt May was shot, Peter yelled at Stark, "You were like a father to me!"

The website speculates that one of the things that Iron Man might have done for Spider-Man that made the younger hero view him as a father figure is give him his costume.

"Captain America: Civil War" premieres on May 6, 2016.
