Blake Lively crops husband Ryan Reynolds in hilarious birthday greeting post

Former "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively finally had the sweetest revenge on his beau, "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds, during his birthday on Oct. 23.

The actor, who just turned 41, posted a picture as a birthday greeting for his wife on her birthday in August, calling her an "amazing wife." The photo showed Reynolds and a cropped body of Lively at the 2014 Met Gala red carpet. But it was the wife's turn to greet Reynolds recently.

Happy Birthday to my amazing wife.

The sense of humor of the power couple had always been lauded, especially Reynolds who always has an antic to share to his fans, whether about his kids or his wife. Earlier during his big day, "The Proposal" actor took to Twitter to share his kids' surprise for him. "I totally heard them coming and snuck out to start a new life somewhere else," the actor said.

Reynolds also said in his GQ interview that "Southpaw" actor Jake Gyllenhaal was a better cook than his wife. The "R.I.P.D." star also quipped to People that her eldest daughter was more like a "dime-store thug on set" for having many Tootsie Rolls in her jacket.

Reynolds and Lively met on the set of "Green Lantern" in 2011 where they were paired opposite each other. The two were otherwise engaged at the time, though, Reynolds being the husband of actress Scarlett Johansson and Lively dating series co-star Penn Badgely. The couple got married in September 2012. They are blessed with two children, James, 2, and Ines, 1.
