'Better Call Saul' season 2 update: Filming underway; B-29 spotted on set

A first look at season 2 of Better Call Saul AMC.com

Filming for the second season of "Better Call Saul" is underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and according to a report, the "Breaking Bad" spinoff shot a large scale scene in the area which involves a plane—a B-29 bomber.

According to ABC affiliate KOAT, a B-29 named Fifi was used while filming an episode of the AMC series. The plane is on a national tour across the Southwest, and airport employees reportedly said that the hangar and maintenance building were also used in filming.

So far, the show has yet to release any new information about the upcoming season, but last July, AMC released two first-look photos from the set. In the first picture, Saul (Bob Odenkirk) is dressed in his brown suit and talking to two men, who have their backs to the camera. The second picture features series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould on set.

While it is uncertain whether some "Breaking Bad" stars would be making a cameo in season 2, there are speculations that Saul's secretary, Francesca (Tina Parker) might be appearing on the show when the series returns next year.
Meanwhile, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have both said that they would be willing to reprise their roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.

According to Hypable, at a press conference for Cranston's movie "Trumbo" in which he co-stars with Helen Mirren and John Goodman, the "Breaking Bad" actor said that he while he doesn't know if a cameo in "Better Call Saul" is in the works, he said that he would be willing "if Vince Gilligan wanted me to."

As for Paul, in an interview with CBS last year, the actor said that he's had "serious talks" with Gilligan about returning to his character.

"Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there," Paul said. "I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter years because it's all a prequel—it would be fun."

"Better Call Saul" season 2 is slated to return to AMC in 2016.
