Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner still living together for the sake of their children?

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced their split this summer but the pair remained amicable for the sake of their children.

A source told People that the "had a nice Christmas" with their three children Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 3 at an exclusive ski resort in Big Sky, Montana.

The insider said that Garner and Affleck seemed happy to be on vacation as they took some time to relax while their children spent most of their time playing in the snow.

The source also said that the "Batman v Superman" star and the "Alias" actress stayed in the same property but on separate rooms — an arrangement that is similar to their how they live at their home in Los Angeles.

And while this arrangement seems to be working for them, a source told E! News that it hasn't been easy for the ex-couple.

The source said that Affleck has been living in a separate section of their LA home and has a room to himself. The section is also an area where Garner goes to on a daily basis. The source said that this "forced them to have day-to-day interactions and spend a lot of time more than the typical couple."

"It's working well for the kids to have both of them there in close quarters, so they have made sacrifices and agreed to do it for now," said the source.

The source said that although the two are no longer together, they are putting their children first by living in the same house and that Affleck continues to commit to being a "100 percent dad and family member."

Reps for both Affleck and Garner have yet to comment on the reports.

Other than the said living arrangement, Affleck and Garner continue to spend time together with their children. They have been previously photographed spending a day in Disneyland, as well as while shopping for groceries with their kids.
