After the final episode of "The Bachelorette 2015" aired on Monday, July 27, many fans of the show took to social media to congratulate Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth on their engagement, including former Bachelors and  Bachelorettes. But Sean Lowe from season 17 of "The Bachelor" took it one step further as he wrote an entire blog post for Kaitlyn and Shawn and offered them five rules to live by for a happy relationship.

Sean, who married contestant Catherine Giudici in 2014, revealed on his personal blog that he has been asked what advice to give Kaitlyn and Shawn after the season 11 finale of the ABC series. His advice is as follows:

"Commit." Sean said that this is the most important piece of advice that he knows of.

"If you truly want to spend the rest of your lives together, you must commit to loving your partner no matter the circumstances," he wrote.

He advised the couple to commit to living in the same city, building a healthy relationship, sticking together through tough times, and showing each other how much they are loved.

"Work." He shared that every relationship takes work, most especially relationships formed on television. Sean revealed that when he and Catherine had to keep their relationship secret, everything seemed exciting, but the "naivety wore off quickly once we were thrust into the real world."

"Don't believe the hype." The former Bachelor reminded Kaitlyn and Shawn that despite the number of talk shows that they are invited to go on or the number of interviews or appearances that they are asked to make, "you're still just a normal person." Sean added that they shouldn't let fame distract them from what is truly important — their relationship.

"Pursue him." As a special note to Kaitlyn, Sean said that now it's time for the 30-year old to "pursue" her man since during the majority of their time on the show, it was Shawn who was pursuing her. He added that Kaitlyn should make sure to let Shawn know that had their roles been reversed, she would fight for him in the same way that he did for her.

"Pursue Him." In the final part of his post, Sean advised the couple to seek God together and make Him the center of their relationship.

"I can tell you firsthand that there's nothing better than a relationship founded on faith," Sean wrote. "God loves you so much and he wants to be at the center of it all."
