Fans of Constantine were saddened when NBC cancelled "Constantine" after only 13 episodes on the network. The show failed to get a second season elsewhere even though the showrunners and fans campaigned hard to find the series a new home. But next week, Matt Ryan will be putting on Constantine's trenchcoat again as he pays a visit to Arrow's hometown of Star City to help Sara.

Last Wednesday, Sara was placed in the Lazarus Pit in an attempt to resurrect her. She came out of the pit alive, but it's clear that she is not quite herself as she emerged from the pit as a wild and bloodthirsty creature.

In the "Arrow" episode titled "Haunted," which will air on Nov. 4, the Arrow team is desperate, and Oliver gives John Constantine a call asking him for his help.

In the promo clip, Constantine says that Sara's soul needs to be restored to her body. When asked what will happen if things go wrong, Constantine says, "If things go wrong, then we'll all be too dead to care."

While Ryan was certainly game to put on his character's distinctive coat on again for "Arrow," he told Variety that the experience made him a little sad as he was reminded of the loyal fans who wanted to bring "Constantine" back.

"Those cult fans, they're hardcore, you know. I love them…Just putting the trenchcoat on for 'Arrow' did kind of sadden me a bit," he admitted.

Ryan also talked about slipping into the character again. The actor revealed that on the CW show, there are certain things that John is doing, such as fighting with a sword, that are slightly different.

"And there was a period of adjustment as well, when I first put on the trenchcoat again," said Ryan. "The first take I thought, 'What am I doing?' But after a while it was like, 'Ah, there he is.'"

"Arrow" star Stephen Amell talked about Ryan's upcoming appearance on the show with Hitfix and said that the actor was "really fantastic."

Amell also told TVLine that the episode will "weave in the Constantine character very nicely."

"Keeping within the framework of our show, we lend ourselves to the things that make Constantine fun as a character," he said.

"Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
