Fans will be treated to new and exciting episodes of "Arrow," with The CW show gearing up for its fourth season. The show promises a lot of new developments for Arrow (Stephen Amell), Felicity (Emily Brett Rickards) and other characters in the series.

In the new trailer for season 4, it looks like Oliver and Felicity are trying to have a normal life. Oliver is seen jogging in the suburbs, and photos of the couple showing them at various locations reveal that they have spent a lot more time enjoying each other's company than fighting bad guys. As Oliver hides a ring in a cupcake, his proposal is interrupted by the arrival of Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Thea (Willa Holland) who tell him that they need the Arrow.

The couple return to Starling, renamed Star City in memory of the late Dr. Raymond Palmer (Brandon Routh), and Oliver tells Felicity that he doesn't want to return to "being that person anymore." Felicity tells him that maybe he needs to be a different kind of person as she unveils the Green Arrow suit. Soon, the Arrow is back on the streets to protect the citizens of the city.

Aside from the Arrow's new suit and the city's new name, what will change is Felicity's position in the company. After the death of Palmer, she has now taken over as CEO.

Executive producer Wendy Mericle told TVLine, "She's the full-blown CEO, and it's an opportunity to really see that character grow up and be challenged in ways we haven't seen before."

In the trailer, the Arrow is also seen taking a bullet for Diggle (David Ramsey), who now sports a helmet when he's out fighting crime. It will be interesting to see Oliver and Diggle's relationship, given that Diggle will still be giving Oliver the cold shoulder after what Ollie did last season.

"When they meet again at the top of season 4, it will be frosty," Mericle told TVLine. "Their reconciliation, how they get there, is going to be a bumpy ride."

"Arrow" premieres its fourth season on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 8/7c on The CW.
