A new software update iOS 11.0.2 was just released by Apple to fix the problems caused by the previous patch.

The new update iOS 11.0.2 contained a number of fixes and improvements for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Firstly, it fixed an issue involving the crackling sounds made by a number of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus devices. These noises have been reported in the past and will be a welcome fix to a considerable number of users.

Secondly, it solved the problem that caused some photos to be hidden from the user. Previously, users would notice that some pictures would be missing and think that they were somehow deleted. This fix eliminated that problem and now users can be assured that their pictures will be complete.

Thirdly, it addressed the issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open when clicked. Now, users will be able to view their attachments normally.

Apple did not release any betas to developers before the release of iOS 11.0.2. The company opted not to have external engineers to fully test the patch. It is likely that because of the clamor for a fix, Apple went ahead to release the software update as quickly as possible.

The iOS 11.0.1 update that was released aimed to solve a couple of issues including the synchronization of Outlook.com, Office 365, and Exchange Server 2016 running on Windows Server 2016 in Apple Mail. However, it caused some glitches in other areas that were spotted by users.

Apple's official Twitter got swamped with complaints regarding the iOS 11.0.1 software update. Some of these grievances included lock screen freezes, Bluetooth and Wi Fi connections dropping, and overall system instability.

The Apple iOS 11.0.2 update is expected to stabilize iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch processes. Users can download and install iOS 11.0.2 by going to the "Settings" app, then clicking on "General," and then "Software Update" on the device.
