Alexander Skarsgard's new haircut news: Theories for shaved head surface

Alexander Skarsgard has made a bold move with his new haircut, as the actor has now gone bald, supposedly for his new and upcoming role.

The actor was seen in his new look during the Louis Vuitton's "Volez, Voguez, Voyagez" exhibition in New York where he walked the red carpet proudly with his new hairdo. The haircut left Skarsgard with a "donut" hairstyle where some of his blond hair that extended from ear to ear and the back of his head was still left behind. A close-up photo of the actor's new haircut was posted in what is assumed to be his secret Instagram account.

Skarsgard's new look is speculated to be for his upcoming movie, "The Hummingbird Project," since the location of the Instagram post is Quebec, Canada, and filming for the movie has just begun in the same country. It is a strong indication that the actor might be there as well or was there recently.

"The Hummingbird Project" is a drama movie directed by Kim Nguyen and involves a pair of high-frequency traders going up against their old boss in an effort to make millions in a fibre-optic cable deal. Skarsgard stars with Jesse Eisenberg and Salma Hayek in the said movie.

Meanwhile, another theory is that Keith Urban made him shave his head as payment for his kissing Nicole Kidman at the Emmys.

Needless to say, fans were in shock, as can be seen on social media. A lot of them liked Skarsgard's old hair better. Some even went as far as to exclaim curses, and one Instagram user even suggested to sue the hairdressers, humorously though.

Skarsgard's fans on Twitter were as equally stupefied by his haircut, saying that he better win an Oscar for what is considered an embarrassment.

That said, some actually like the actor's new look. In general, most fans need not worry though, as the stubble on Skarsgard's bald spot is an indication that the hair will be growing back.
