Netflix officially reveals a few details about the plot of "13 Reasons Why" after the streaming service provider announced the renewal of season 2.

In a long post on Twitter, Netflix reveals that the second season of the highly controversial TV series will provide the other characters' perspectives regarding Hannah Baker's (Katherine Langford) stories.

It is also revealed that the sophomore season will still feature Jessica Davis' (Alisha Boe) story as she tries to move on from her past and live a normal life.

The second season of "13 Reasons Why" will still have a narrator. But unlike the first season where Hannah's voice explains the episodes through tapes, the second season will not be narrated by Hannah.

Netflix also reveals that the sophomore season of "13 Reasons Why" will tackle "the way we raise boys up into men and the way we treat girls and women in our culture — and what we could do better in both cases." This could mean that the upcoming season will finally address the behavior of the male students in Hannah's high school. Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice) is also expected to get what he deserves in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, showrunner Brian Yorkey tells Entertainment Weekly that despite her suicide in season 1, Hannah will still be a part of the plot of the show's second season. "We're going to get some new context for events we already know about and we're going to see a lot of things we hadn't even heard about yet that fill in some really interesting gaps in our understanding of who Hannah Baker was and what her life was," Yorkey states.

The showrunner also states that the events that will be featured in season 2 will happen several months after the show's first season.

"13 Reasons Why" season 2 is believed to be released on Netflix sometime in 2018.
