Zayn Malik may not be a member of One Direction anymore, but the 22-year-old still has a loyal following as he was swarmed by fans upon leaving his hotel on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The former boy band member stepped out in dark jeans, a white t-shirt, a blue jacket and brown shoes on Wednesday as he was on his way to dine with some friends at the Soho House. According to Mirror, Malik looked slightly surprised when fans approached him and asked to take pictures with him, but the singer gamely posed for selfies with his male and female fans outside his hotel. Upon leaving the restaurant, Malik was reportedly met by more fans and he also stopped to take some quick pictures with them. The singer also uploaded a black and white shot of himself with a fan on his Instagram account.

The next day, Malik once again emerged from the Bowery Hotel, and in photos posted on the Daily Mail, the singer looks somewhat sleepy as he headed out in black jeans, a Rolling Stones t-shirt, a black leather jacket and black trainers.

Malik made headlines when he announced that he was leaving One Direction back in March. In his statement, he said that he was leaving the boyband as he wanted to live as a "normal 22-year-old." But this summer, Malik signed with RCA Records as a solo artist, and it is believed that he is working on a hip hop record.

Aside from making a big change in his career, Malik also split up with fiancee Perrie Edwards back in August. It was reported that he broke up with the Little Mix singer through a text message.

On Sept. 23, Malik tweeted a cryptic message which read, "I don't want you to wait for me, I'm not coming home." It was speculated that the tweet was meant for Edwards.
