A wrestling superstar just made a comeback and everyone's jaw just dropped. This week in "WWE Raw," Kane surprised everyone by returning to the ring, and now details abound on what the plan is for the wrestling superstar.

Kane was one of several big names from the WWE's Attitude Era. He has yet to hang up his wrestling costume, even if there's been little activity from him. It can be remembered that the WWE star's last appearance in the wrestling ring was back on Nov. 29, 2016, in an episode of "Smackdown" which had him beating Luke Harper.

According to PW Insider, Kane is indeed returning to WWE programming, but for only a short period of time. Their sources revealed that Kane will be appearing for about a month which includes his slated appearance on this Sunday's TLC pay-per-view and a couple of RAW episodes.

The level of shock was so great that not even the people from the WWE locker room knew that he was with them backstage.

Observers said that Kane's surprise return to the wrestling mat was to settle some scores with Shield member Roman Reigns after the latter defeated Kane's brother The Undertaker in "WrestleMania 33." The wrestling icon never made his retirement official, but he has not appeared in any WWE event after his defeat at the hand of Reigns.

Kane's re-emergence may also work to his advantage. The wrestling star's real name is Glen Jacobs and he has been busy preparing off-screen for the mayoral post of Knox County, Tennessee for next year's election.

While it might odd for some to see a wrestler run a city, Jacobs has long been an active fixture in his county's political scene and his appearance could help him get some voter recall and mileage.
