'WWE 2K16' review: what critics have to say

 2K Games

In a preview event held in California, game critics got their hands on the upcoming World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) video game to check out what developments can be had in 2K Sports' new video game.

Six video game writers came to San Francisco, California last week to review "WWE 2K16" as reported by Bleacher Report. Among them were Nicholas Tan of Game Revolution, Ozzie Mejia of Shacknews, Paul Rosselli of Gaming Age, Randolph Ramsay of GameSpot, Russell Archey of Gaming Nexus, and Vince Ingenito of IGN.

The 124-character roster released for "WWE 2K16" doesn't include Rosa Mendes, Sherri Martel, and Ted DiBiase as options, although a screen shot of the game shows the three.

Ingenito of IGN made a mistake in mentioning who joins the roster, which he later corrected.

Roselli of Gaming Age found that the game plays out well and had a lot of features, including prematch ambush options and a creature suite.

The writers all agreed that are changes which are not very extensive, but the way they influence the game is very remarkable.

Based on their reactions, it seemes like the game is more intense than the previous ones released.

They also took notice of the games overall look, which, according to Tan, "are much crisper and cleaner than before."

Even though the game had its positive qualities, the reviews also noted that there are still some things that can be worked on in the game. Archey of Gaming Nexus said, "If the defender is really unlucky, they can be made to submit within the opening moments of the match."

Mejia on the other hand didn't like the MyCareer mode. He said that it was "unchanged and somewhat uninspired."

Some also noted that WWE 2K16 offers a lot of Kane in the game.

The latest installment of the game series has a lot of great potential, with its graphics looking more realistic in this edition.

Video gamers can finally get their hands on "WWE 2K16" when it is launched on Oct. 27 in the United States and Oct. 30 in international markets.
