Space ninjas will no longer have to endure the cramped corridors and procedural rooms of "Warframe," as the "Plains of Eidolon" update is out now and adds a vast open-world area for players to traverse.

Released on Oct. 12 by Digital Extremes (DE), "Warframe: Plains of Eidolon" will usher players into a new landscape. DE claims that "Plains of Eidolon" is bigger than anything they have made for the game, even counting last two big story expansions "The Second Dream" and "The War Within." Players will be free to explore, fight, and fly in the new open-world space.

However, the surge in new content may leave players confused as to how to proceed, as DE has also revamped the game's focus system. Players who have been looking to use their focus powers in the plains will have to go through several arduous hoops to get it back since the developers have tied it to the gameplay progression in the "Plains of Eidolon."

To re-acquire back the warframe's focus powers, players will only have to play through the bounty missions offered by Konzu, the old man in the Cetus outpost near the plains of Eidolon. In between the bounty missions, Konzu will give instructions to players on how to find Onkko, as well as the Quills who will allow players to regain their focus powers.

Players may also want to prioritize doing this since they will be locked out of the majority of their focus powers until they find the Quills. Focus is one of the most important aspects of gameplay in "Warframe" since it allows specific warframe builds, though DE reworking the focus may mean that that will no longer be the case.

One important thing that players should also note is that a full day and night cycle in the plains of Eidolon will last 150 minutes, where daylight lasts for 100 minutes and night for 50 minutes. It is advisable for players to avoid going out solo at night time since it is more dangerous due to the Sentients, massive hostile creatures that roam the plains once the sunlight fades.

"Warframe: Plains of Eidolon" is out now and is free to play on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
