Trick or treat in space awaits players of online co-op shooter game "Warframe," as the "Day of the Dead" update gets introduced just in time for Halloween.

Digital Extremes, the developer of the game, has announced and released the Halloween update for "Warframe." The update will include a variety of Weapon Skin Bundles, Landing Craft Skins, Armor, Syandanas, Glyphs, and more. Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 18, players will be able to acquire "Day of the Dead" themed Syandanas (futuristic sashes), namely the Igaro, Kyroptera, Abrasys, and Vanquished Banner Syandana designs.

Weapons, both melee and ranged, will also be getting the skeleton themed "Day of the Dead" motifs. The included weapons range from dual swords, greatswords, and beam weapons to pistols and Arch-Wing weapons. A cosmetic armor set called Porta will also be getting a "Day of the Dead" version. The Liset as well as the Mantis, which are the player's spacecraft in-game, will likewise get the Halloween designs.

Players wanting to get all the Halloween designs at a discount can purchase any of the four "Day of the Dead" weapon skin packs, and two "Day of the Dead" threads pack. Buying the bundles is significantly cheaper than buying all the individual cosmetics should players want all of them.

Additionally, a Halloween Color Picker template will also be available for the players in the in-game store for one credit, as well as a Dullahan Mask, which is essentially a Jack-O-Lantern headgear, for the same price. The elusive Naberus bat-themed shoulder pads are also making a comeback, but these cost 50 platinum a pair.

Despite the numerous Halloween cosmetics, some of the players were slightly disappointed since the offerings were allegedly the same as last year's, and they were expecting something new for the Halloween event. The Halloween event mission is also expected to arrive either on Oct. 30 or Nov. 1. There, players may get to fight a giant Jack-O-Lantern using the just their bare fists or their Warframes.

"Warframe" is a free-to-play online shooter and is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
